First off, I apologize if I am reposting, but I've spent quite some time looking around for a solution to this problem, and cannot find what I'm looking for, so here goes:
I have a few .mkv files, and I would like to create a normal DVD that I can play on any regular DVD player. After searching for quite some time, I have found many suggestions, but nearly all of them require the use of VisualHub, which is no longer in development, so even if I wanted to pay the $25 for it, I cannot. I have found a few other software options, such as iSkySoft DVD creator, but there does not appear to be any consensus as to what works, or if there are any free options.
