MKV to MP4 audio question handbrake

When i drop MKVs into handbrake with the latest snapshot

i cant get dolby surrond from the MKVs DTS 5.1

instead of ac3 passthrough i get AAC (faac) dolby pro logic as the second audio stream


is this a bug or the new way handbrake is handling audio.

Handbrake cannot, and has never been able to convert dts audio to ac3. If you want a file with ac3 audio then you must convert the dts track to an ac3 track with a separate program, before encoding with handbrake. Which is why its called ac3 passthrough, it does not touch/convert the track it only passes it through to the new file.
