ML code with multiple apple id?

How many time can we redeem a single ML code to multiple apple id? Is it tied to one apple id? if the same code is redeem again with different apple id it should say "the code is already redeemed" right?

It is tied to whatever AppleID you redeemed it on and is not going to work with a second one.
