Hi,

Last week I ran into a problem where my USB 3.0 storage drives would no longer be recognised when plugged into the Mac through my USB 3.0 hub. They worked at first, but then never showed up again, and when I plugged them in, the status indicator would light up for a few seconds to indicate power, then stop to indicate no read access.

I googled, and through the magic combination found how to fix it. To do so I had to enable the root account and do something in there. I can't remember exactly what, and I didn't think to bookmark the page. Since then, I reformatted, and the issue has come up again, but I cannot find that page that told me how to fix it again.

Anyone know how to get the Mac to recognise the USB devices again?

Thanks
