Apparently their new 3.0-capable app will also provide a live video feed of the game. I'd imagine the quality would be similar to YouTube on the 3G network.

I have mlbtv and watch the games on my laptop.

I don't dare imagine that the iPhone MLB app quality is going to be as crisp and smooth.

If anything, I imagine that the quality will be similar to that as watching the Highlight videos on the MLB app.. which at times over 3G is down right unwatchable even for a 1minute highlight clip..

Well, it's 3.0, so I'd imagine it will use the new HTTP streaming with variable bitrate based on your current download speed.
