Why the hell are they showing the scores on the previous games? I went to watch yesterday's games and y'all put the damn scores right on the thumbnails? Talk about spoilers!

Shameful. Just put the teams and the date. Let the score be a mystery!

I don't see why you'd expect them to hide the scores, mlb does the same thing.

Well, I guess I'm just foolish then. I mean I want to watch the game and have some suspense... I don't want to watch knowing the score.

And while I appreciate you showing that others show the damn scores, that doesn't make it right :)

I mean what if Netflix showed spoilers on every episode description of Game of Thrones or some series... people would be up in arms!

p.s. and hell, if MLB does it too, then they're never going to get my money. Seems like it is really stupid to give away the ending.

We're not talking about shows or series, but rather sports and just about every streaming service I've seen that has sports, tends to show you the score, either as the game is ongoing (in a thumbnail) or if you wish to watch it after the fact.

ok, thanks. That makes me sad. I can understand it live, but for replays, why spoil it? I guess I'm just different than the rest of the planet

I agree with @DarthVader! in that every streaming, cable, and broadcast service I've ever watched for sports gives the scores of other ongoing and finished games. It is has been that way since as far back as I can remember, and I can remember back to watching sports on a B&W TV with antenna during the 1960s! Surely the OP has noticed this, or he wasn't paying much attention. I guarantee that if the OP records a game on any service and watches it later he will see plenty of other scores being posted and discussed. That is not up to the streaming service, it is up to the guys in the booth and the network that is providing the game coverage, and all of them give out other game scores.

Geez you think I haven't lived? That I'm some fool?

Everything you mention is "other game scores"... I'm simply talking about the thumbnail of the games on Apple TV+

I realize during games, and on sports channels etc you will see other scores. You'll see lots of chat about that. Scores are on all kinds of sports sites. If you want to see the scores, you can.

And I'm not talking about the live broadcast or stream. JUST THE THUMBNAIL

But why on the thumbnail would you put the score?

In Settings>Apps>TV, you can select "Show Sports Scores" on or off.
thanks for trying... so far I can only find that on the phone (I'm usually watching on my iMac)...

But, that doesn't fix the thumbnails - they still have the score in them.

I do appreciate the info tho!

I thought you were referring to the Apple TV device. It works great there. No thumbnail scores either.
by the way, I'm not paying for MLB -- only watching friday games on Apple TV+
That was more for Darth Vader. He had mentioned that MLB shows scores also.
