First time ATV owner, got it mostly for the MLB and NHL TV features.

I don't like the picture quality on MLB TV. My internet speed isn't the issue, and I have tried wired and wireless connections. And I have set the device to 1080p/60hz.

Is there any hope to get 1080p/120hz on ATV?

It really doesn't matter. Fox sports which cover most of the games with regional networks only broadcasts in 720p, so the streaming feed you are getting via the MLB package is 720p, not 1080p. In fact, none of the live streaming sports via ATV, ROKU, etc is 1080p. Either using 720p or 1080i formats. IMO, MLB streaming is probably better than most others when it comes to picture quality. Netflix 1080p streaming is worse than MLB 720p, because MLB streams at a higher bitrate and that is why 1080p streaming is overrated.
