Mmmm... 15 or 17 Penryn?

Hey guys, help me out here...

I have a 17" Merom MBP, and I'm allowed to get a new MBP. I love my 17, but find it a little big sometimes (I do like the space because I do a lot of Illustrator and FCP work).

If I got the 17, I would get the high def resolution. If I got the 15, I would get the 2.6 upgrade.

Does anyone out there have the high res? Is it good? Is it worth it?

Get the 15" if you don't like to lug a large laptop around. You can chuck the screen for a 15" 1920x1200 later (read about the hacks online)

15" has been LED circa August 2007.

Also, LED backlighting is now standard on all 15" MBP's. Honestly if the 17" is to bulky for you, get a 15" and buy a nice monitor to hook the 15" up to.
