Today I received a 13" macbook pro (the low end model), an apple magic mouse and along with a gift card from the Apple. I am a new mac user. I was browsing the Apple Site Store and saw Mobee Magic Charger for Apple Magic Mouse. Is this worth buying? I don't want to spur on my gift card onto something I don't need or no use of. I've read some reviews but before jumping ahead, I want some feedback on what are some of the useful things I can purchase for my macbook? =]

I'd probably spring for an external hard drive for Time Machine first.

I personally went with Apples AA Battery Charger rather than the Mobee Magic Charger. It's cheaper and now I have rechargeable batteries for my Magic Mouse, keyboard, and Magic Trackpad.

EDIT: Erm, I guess since you're on a laptop, you don't need batteries for your keyboard and trackpad. So neglect my previous statement.

Well regarding the Mobee Magic Charger it depends where you use your MBP the most. Behind a desk or on a lap?

Its a handy gadget to have around but suits an iMac better. This is due to charging dock being forced to be hooked up to a Mac running computer. I tried hooking it up to my Dell as it has 4 ports not being used and it did not charge. When I hooked it up to my MBP it worked. So you are forced to give up a port when the battery is low and are using the MBP.

One thing though, it look cool.

I got the magic mouse and the mobee charger with my purchase of a MBP.
Sadly I almost never use the mouse, so the charger has been used once.

The trackpad is so good, I hardly wanted to use a mouse.
