I just noticed that Mobee introduced something called The Power Bar for the Magic Trackpad. It seems pretty interesting to me because it can basically turn the wireless Magic Trackpad into a wired device. Although it is really a rechargeable battery with a built-in USB port for recharging, I really like it since I could just leave it connected and never worry about recharging it. This device seems to be pretty small, so it shouldn't be too obtrusive. I was thinking about butchering my Magic Trackpad in order to turn it into a wired device, but I just couldn't, and now I never have to.
