I have a late 2010 Macbook Pro which i am presently using a prepaid mobile broadband stick on a pre paid agreement. As i want to go back to study later this year i would like to change to a larger broadband plan on a fixed line at home to do external studies. Is it possible to use the mac at home on the fixed line and if i travel use the usb stick on those occasions. I am using Snow Leopard and have done regular upgrades. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank You

Thanks for the help. I spoke to my service provider who indicated that it would be ok as the wired modem for home would come with a self install dvd. They would work as two separate systems so would work as long as i only wanted to log in on one system at a time. I am learning more of how to use my mac each time i want to so something new.
