Mobile Broadband: Turning off image compression....how?

I have a T-Mobile USB modem dongle.

Like Vodafone and other providers images are compressed to speed up the surfing experience. I need hi quality images and am prepared for a slower surfing experience.

I want to use Safari, not FireFox, nor do I want to keep refreshing pages to get better quality images.

Any ideas?

If you want to override this image compression on T-Mobile mobile broadband I believe you have to download and install an additional application called web'n'WalkAccelerator to run alongside the normal software: http://lastmile.t-mobile.co.uk/datacardhelp/user/page.phtml?page_id=98&product_ref=web_n_walk_usb&product_category_id=&product_manufacturer_id=

It's not clear though whether this is Mac compatible, perhaps you could let us know how you get on.

Windows only but T-Mobile UK say there will be a Mac version in the next few weeks.

If possible, set up a VPN and connect to the VPN server (i.e. your computer at home, on a good Internet connection) over Mobile Broadband. Then your mobile network can't interfere with your connection at all

Not a solution for everyone I know, but if it's available to you then it certainly improves the reliability and performance of the mobile broadband experience.
