Hi all, after several months of happily using my iPad 3 for tethering (due to a rather nomadic lifestyle) on 3UK, the hotspot feature seems to have disappeared today. I found a thread elsewhere suggesting a reset of the network settings (thread originally about iPhone 4S) but that and numerous restarts/ trips into aeroplane mode haven't produced any results.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks

yeah...when ever i need this feature it never works. It does work whenever i call tech support. It must be a known problem but unlike apple i dont think 3 care enough to fix it or they would have already.

Seems it had somehow been deactivated in General -> Network, no idea how!

Thanks.

On some plans, the tethering is a £5 optional addon. If you have the all-in-one plan, then the tethering becomes free.

Maybe Three have just recently upgraded their servers so they can turn on and off the Personal Hotspot feature from the network (like some iphone plans in the US).
