Mobile Me launch after Midinite tonite?

so July 6 is being recommended to have your stuffs sync to .Mac, so do you think Mobile Me will be launched after Midnite tonight? I wonder if the people from east coast has checked?
 
If they were going to do something on July 6, it wouldn't be until after it's July 6 for the whole country....so after 3 or 4AM on the east coast.
 
releasing new software on a sunday would be somewhat strange. if i were a bettin' man, i'd say tuesday will be the launch.

but who knows.
 
Its going to happen very soon. They set the TTL for me.com to 3600 (1 hour). Normal TTL for apple.com is 86400 (24 hours)

I am going to guess its either Monday or Tuesday, leaning towards Monday.

releasing a new software on a sunday definitely would be strange. But MobileMe isnt a software but a service, so it wouldnt be that strange :)
 
Now, I'm just as hopeful as you guys are, and they did say "sync your bookmarks before July 6" but...

I'm English so I don't care much for this so-called "Independance Day":) but, surely launching MobileMe is going to take some work, and asking people to do said work on July 4 weekend, is surely difficult. I think a Tuesday launch is more likely.

Indeed I agree...Getting people to work on the day "We gave America back to you" :p is probably not going to happen.

Apple usually release stuff on Tuesday, and given how big this thing is I would also say Tuesday is more likely.

Saying the 6th for Bookmarks just gives people a little wiggle room, and no one can complain that they were in a different timezone or the like.

History is written by the victors. Just finished a history degree. Totally off topic, I know. Anywho, hows about this for a thought. iTunes 7.7 on July 7th (7/7)? Along with MobileMe?
