I cannot find the info on the web, so I figured someone on here might know.

Obviously, we know there will be a switch to the new architecture in notebooks within the next year, most likely around Q4 09 or Q1 10. Anyway, I was just curious if you think we are going to see similar clock speeds with more cores or same cores with more threads. When the i7 desktop line came out, the Speeds were relatively the same to what was currently available in a Core 2 Quad. Am I wrong to assume when the mobile chips come out it would be about the same? Same clock speeds, but MUCH better performance thanks to the new architecture.

Please search. We have a thread on this already. Use this: http://mroogle.************* and look for "Arrandale".

Same cores, more threads. Two cores, four threads. Clock is unknown. Arrandale is Westmere, not Nehalem.
