I have been using .Mac for years now, my subscription was due up on the 12th.

When Apple switched to MobileMe I logged in, went to accounts and check my billing info was transfered, and therefore would renew. (What I forgot though was my bank had changed the last digit of my card for security)

On the 12th i get an email saying my .mac subscription had expired and i needed to follow a link to renew it. This obviously very stupid because it simply redirected me to a .mac page which then redirects to the MobileMe home page.

I smiled ignored the silly email and tried to log into MobileMe and tried to go to the billing info page.... To find it was gone!

So I called tech support and was told the reason I could not access the billing info was that my account had expired! wtf?!?! You have to have the correct billing info in place before it expires otherwise you can't renew.

After a slagging match on the phone with this guy he put me on to his supervisor. Who politely explained that my account had expired therefore certain parts of MobileMe would not work including the billing info page!
No matter how much I explained i wanted to renew they told me it wasn't possible as my account had expired as i did not renew in time.

Eventually I hung up, redialed and spoke to another more level headed employee who told me to log into the apple store and change my billing info there, MobileMe would renew with the new billing info automatically.

I ask her if billing info was supposed to disappear and she said this, completely dead pan, no joking, "Yes, It's a new feature..... at least that's what I've been told to say if anythings wrong, otherwise we would be on the phone all day trying to explain that we messed up"

My jaw dropped, I couldn't believe it. I still can't. MobileMe is so messed up the tech people are being told to pretend it all fine!

I couldn't be more angry with it all!
