MobileMe Calendar and OS 10.5

So, Mobile Me calendar is now saying we have to upgrade to the new version, which apparently is not compatible with Leopard (10.5). I'd rather not upgrade to snow leopard given some incompatibilities, but I'm dependent on the ability to sync calendars. Anyone using the new Calendar with Leopard, that could point me to some things to look out for? I've read the Apple knowledge doc, which says lots of scary stuff like "all your old calendars will be erased."
