MobileMe Email Address Question...

Sorry in advance if this has been addressed but I'm at work and I can't really browse around...

I'm curious if I could change my email address. I signed up using a username not knowing it would be my email address. I'm aware you can add up to 5 email addresses however I'm on a trail and I have that for 4 months and I am gonna pay for the service once it expires however when I try and add an email address they want to charge my card and I don't want it to be charged until the 4 month trial is over.

Has anyone added an email address without being charged or anything along those lines?

youre trying to add an email only account, which costs money

cancel the trial, and start a new one with a different user name
i did, works fine, even with the same card

Well the thing is if I cancel I'll go back to a 2 month trial and it'll just be a hassle to re-upload everything. I guess I'll just wait till the end of the trial and let them charge me then and hope the email address is still available...

I believe you can add 5. Doesn't matter I just want to add 1 anyway...

You have to create a new account, you can't change an email address that's already created...

So in essence you can start a new "trial" membership but you're creating a new account..

mehhh I'll just leave it then I guess, no big deal. I wish they could just change it from there end for me.

I wanted to change my email and asked them the same question but was told to start a new one

So, I did. Oh well
