Hello, I'm new to MobileMe (and Macs in general) and I'm still on trial to decide if it's worth the price. Today I spent a few hours uploading photos to a gallery to save some space, as I only have 128GB SSD on this MBP. Unfortunately as soon as I opened iPhoto it started syncing with MobileMe and downloading files that I uploaded manually, as I wanted to get them off of my drive.

So is there any way to host images on MM gallery without actually having them on my HDD? Like I can, for example upload them to any site with FTP access and just leave them there?

Thanks.

In iPhoto '08, Preferences -> MobleMe -> set "Check for New Photos" to "manually" should do it. don't know about other versions of iPhoto.
