About a year or two ago, I started a mini-blog where I'd post random thoughts. It was general nonsense, but it was important to me and I'd like to recover my work. Since the last time I posted, I've switched computers (formated + reinstalled), let my domain expire, and allowed my MobileMe account to expire (I renewed it a few months ago).
When I migrated from my MBP to my iMac, I backed up my documents folder only, not realizing that iWeb stores its files in /username/Library/Application Support/iWeb. When I was working on my site, I kept two URLs active: (1) my own domain and (2) the MobileMe URL attached to my account.
Navigating to my old domain gives nothing. (Not really interested in the actual domain -- I just want my site files.) And I can't seem to see anything in my MobileMe URL, although I wonder if the error is because I'm typing the wrong address. I've tried: http://homepage.mac.com/[my username] & http://web.me.com/[my username].
Can anyone think of a way I can recover my files? I've checked the following:
1. Mozy backup - only contains backup files from my new machine
2. Time Machine - same, files from new machine only
3. External drives - documents only, I don't have the iWeb folder backed up
I'm hoping there's a way I can access my server page where my MobileMe site was stored via FTP, but I don't know how to access it, and I'm even more concerned about what happens when I let my account expire. Do my files remain on Apple's servers or are they wiped out? Like I said, I've since re-established the same account I was using when I created the site, but I see no trace of my website. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
