iPod touch MobileMe Launch Time For UK Residents

Apple has never announced an official release time for either MobileMe or 2.0 for UK/US or any other country in the world. And we currently have conflicting statements regarding the release of 2.0 software, so just sit tight and by this friday evening all will be here for us.

yes but mobile me requires 2.0 for use of mobile me if they realse mobile me with out the right requirements current iphone/ipod touch uses who rely on moble me will be p.oed if they cant acsses there mail if its released on friday wich i belive we will see 2.0 some time today.

Not supposedly, it's been confirmed that MobileMe will complete it's transition worldwide from 6PM Wednesday (Today) - 12AM Thursday PDT.

In Apple's MobileMe Support Q&A Page, it does say that the 2.0 Software Upgrade is required for MobileMe use on an iPhone/ iPod touch, so there have been many rumors of iTunes 7.7 + 2.0 Software launching before MobileMe completes it's transition.
 
I sure hopes it today. I need something to scratch my itch until the 3G is here on friday. That would sure due nicely.
 
MobileMe Launch
7/9/2008, 6pm-12am PT

As part of the MobileMe launch, www.mac.com will be taken offline at 6pm PT on Wednesday, July 9th.

Members will be unable to access www.mac.com or any .Mac services during this time with the exception of .Mac Mail accessed via a desktop application, iPhone, or iPod touch.

MobileMe will be available as soon as possible during this maintenance window.

It states on the .Mac home page that MobileMe will be available once the update is complete which is between 6pm and 12am Pacific Time Tonight

I can see MobileMe being released first. I am sure Apple wants to make sure that the website is up and running fully. I don't expect Apple to throw the switch for 2.0 or iTunes until Friday or once the first iPhones legally go on sale to public.
 
To answer the OP's question, MobileMe will launch between 2AM - 8AM Thursday, so it should be active when you wake tomorrow morning (providing thats after 8AM).
