MobileMe vs Yahoo push email; NuevaSync Calednar

So I decided to sign up for the MobileMe trial today and compare it to Yahoo push email...

is it me or does Yahoo Push email work way better than MobileMe? My MobileMe didn't even do any push! I had to manually download my emails.

I then tried to compare NuevaSync.com's free Google calendar push sync vs. MobileMe's calendar.

Again, NuevaSync's worked much better than MobileMe...

Why are these free services much better than Apple's $99/year one?

I haven't used MobileMe but I think there might be something wrong in the setup. It should work better than you explained.
