Good morning

I have a JB'd iPhone4, only reason for JB is so that I can do the tethering hack. Never been interested in installing anything from Cydia but I'm tempted to try out biteSMS, which will then install mobilesubstrate.

I read some time ago that mobilesubstrate was the source of poor battery performance, and that downgrading it fixed the problem.

If I were to install the current version of biteSMS, will the version of mobilesubstrate that will install with it still need downgrading? If so, to which version?

Cheers....

on 4.0.1 and 4.1, i decided to downgrade my mobilesubstrate version due to an apparent but unproven battery drain. i did notice a difference in doing this.

however, with 4.2.1 combined with a recently updated version of mobilesubstrate, there is no apparent difference in battery performance, so i would definitely try it out.

Cool, thanks for that...
