I heard that the FCC will soon allow local tv stations to stream their feeds to mobile devices such as iPhone is that true?

I think he's trying to say that his family does not pay for cable cause they think its a waste of money. So they probably use an antenna that gets Fox sometimes if they're lucky

I have DirecTV & the iPhone app and it doesn't support streaming. They do have an app for the Superfan subscribers to stream football games, though.

Biggest handicap of media streaming is cell tower bandwidth...so I doubt FCC is the biggest factor here.
