iOS modalViewController and NavigationBar

Hi all,

I've written an app which needs to bring up a list of bookmarks, I'm using a modalViewController to list the bookmarks but I don't have a navigationController and I want one :(.

All the sample code takes it that the main application displays the navigationController, but I'm one step beyond that as my main screen does not have one.

can anyone point me in the right direction for sample code etc?
