I know that Axiotron has a service for you to send in your white macbook and they will mod it for you. What I am wondering is if anyone knows if Axiotron plans on offering the same service for the new macbook. They issued a press release saying the new one's will be available already modded as of July, but I want to buy a new macbook now and then send it in in July. Has anyone heard anything about this?

As long as Apple keeps offering the white plastic MacBook as a low-end option, I don't see Axiotron investing much time or effort into a new design.

But if they want to keep making ModBooks, they'll inevitably do it.

Well Axiotron already said they were working on a solution for the aluminum macbook, but that it wouldn't be ready until June or July. What I was wondering was whether they were going to offer a mail your own system in option on the aluminum macbook, like they already do for the white one.
