My UMB is 5,1 which I know every other one is. This is a pointless question but I was jsut wondering is the new white macbook 6,1? And is there ever a 6,2 or 4,2 or are all the new computer that come out always increase the first digit and the second is always a 1?

-Also what is the model on the macbook pro 13" and are the other macbook pro's the same?

I'm pretty sure the first number is the release, and the second is the model(1 being the base model, 2 being the next one up...etc.) I've seen MacBook Pros with the identifier MacBook Pro 2,2.

I don't think the second number would dictate that. I have the 2.4ghz macbook which is not the base model. If that was correct mine would be macbook 5,2
