Hello,

I am having trouble replacing the earbuds that came with my 4s back in fall 2011. My originals gave out a while back, but then my dad gave me his from an ipod touch (3rd gen I think) and they worked just fine.

I bought model MA814LL off eBay but the control buttons don't work. I've also tried model MB770G/A and their buttons don't work, either.

I see there's also a MB770G/B. Would they work? I'd rather not pay Apple $30 for a new pair, especially in the newer style that I don't care for as much.

Thanks!

I just wanted to report back and say the MA814LL model works with the 4S. My phone had some problems with the headphone jack which caused problems with certain headphones. The Apple store people were able to repair it and I am now able to use the MA814LL.
