So I was on Rogers network in canada and I went on a trip to the east Europe and in order tu use my phone on the Orange network I went to a GSM shop in order to unlock it. Because I have a IPhone 4s it was too expensive to get it factory unlocked so he made a chip or idk.. I can't get into details because I don't really know how it works.. Anyway there's a chip with my sim card and he told me not to upgrade it because the gsm wont work any more and i asked him if i upgrade it and downgrade it after will it work? The guy didn't really know and told me that its at my risk because the chip was sinc. With the modem firmware. So after some research i found out that the each IOS has its own modem firmware. I'm not shure so heres my question if I upgrade my iphone then using SHSH downgrade it will i have the same modem firmware and my phone will still be unlocked?
