Is it possible?

I purchased an iPod touch mid-April but couldn't maintain a reliable Wi-Fi connection at home, so I exchanged it for another. Same issue. It works fine on other networks, and the Internet (albiet crappy) is accessible here by several Macs and Windows machines. The iPod can connect to the network but gets the usual "cannot reach server" message or whatnot.

I tried a different router, and have changed the DNS on both the iPod and the router to use OpenDNS. Websites are accessible if visited by IP only. To use the iPod in a normal fashion I have to change its IP each time after it autolocks. Even without ever autolocking, the iPod will need an IP change if used for a lengthy period of time.

At this point I'm at quite a loss and it's a pain to say the least. The ISP is Rogers in Ontario and I am using their Portable Internet (WiMAX) service. (Side note: Awful company, awful Internet, but a rural home.) I've only found two others bring up this issue on the 'Net, presumably as it isn't a popular service choice.
