I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of a script/modification/hack/program to change the volume steps on OSX 10.12.2. I am currently using a non-Apple keyboard that has a scroll wheel for the sound. The volume adjuster and the media keys on the keyboard work perfectly fine. However the default Mac volume steps are way too large for me. I know about the Opt-Shift thing for quarter steps, but I really don't want to have to use a keyboard shortcut every time I want to change the volume. That is cumbersome; I want to just roll my volume wheel and have it adjust like it does now only with smaller steps. On my old Windows machine I used a script called volstep to change the system wide volume steps to a much smaller increment. I am hoping I can find something similar for the Mac.
Does anyone know of anything that can do this?
