We have 60 new threads an hour about the same issue. Its annoying and macrumors needs to be more than a complaint box.

Just choose one to sticky at the top called "problems" and I guarantee you the number of posts about these reception issues decreases. Or at the very least they can all be consolidated. Ban those who do not comply.

As of now this forum is unreadable and useless.

Respectfully,

Stevie Jobz

I totally agree most of these threads are overlapping. If someone has a problem with the signal or drops their iPhone then create one thread for each and everyone post in those. Not 5 to 10 Different threads for the same thing.

You can tell the OP hasn't been around Macrumors very long...

Or any forum dedicated to customer products...

And the funny thing is that there is another tread on the home page about the same thing...

But I agree with the OP, the mods should start with this one...

Come on old MR users. Look the OP's stats.

Since joined six days ago he's started 24 threads and had two closed.

If he wants the boards cleaned up he can help by not starting so many of them.

I've decided that rather than start a new thread I will just post a counter argument in this thread:

I find the mods are doing a pretty good job considering the increased traffic this time of year. Yesterday I started a thread that was nearly a replicate of one started about the same time and the mods, before I knew it, already merged the two so quickly that I thought it had maybe not gone through at all. They could've just deleted my thread, but instead were respectful enough to just add it as a post to the similar thread.

I'd say all in all they've got their hands full, especially with all the new members, and can only imagine going through the many similar (and some useless) iPhone threads popping up every second.

So I say, good job moderators! Keep up the good work! :)
And, lord, would I hate to be in your shoes now... (being a member here is far easier, even with all the redundancy as of late).

OP = 24 threads, 185 posts .... in 6 days.

Also...

We have 60 new threads an hour about the same issue....Ban those who do not comply.

...Curious as to where you got this stat about "60/hr" threads "about the same issue"? I'm guessing that's an exaggeration, and unnecessary.

And I think you're out of line asking for "those who do not comply" to be banned. Firstly, many of these people are new (like yourself) and just don't know any better. Second, like you implied many of those threads are being created with minutes, maybe seconds, of each other so it's hard to completely avoid it....and even harder to consolidate them in a timely fashion.

I would be careful asking for the ban of anybody, 'cause you're likely to just instigate people to ask for your ban.

Also, i would just lighten up a little. Most people here are good natured and asking honest questions, or like some of us, here to enjoy the camaraderie the community provides. We can't just go booting new users like we're some elite forum deities. :D
