Not sure what it is, but I am currently making a new backup of my macbook pro after I moved all of my movies and tv shows(and deleting them on my hard drive) over to an external drive.

Under finder, I currently have 277 GB used on my MBP hard drive after cleanup of 200+gb of movies and tv shows.

Problem is that the current size of the backup is 582.66 GB...

I am looking to get a new Macbook air or macbook pro with 512gb of storage. Will the current backup try to load onto my new machine with 582.66 gb? Or will it have a backup that is the size I have my current mbp at right now?

**Mods, please delete** Solved the issue! Just have to delete the backups and go into the library folder and delete the plist file
