Hello,
I'm very new to OSX virtual machines but i've used KVM/QEMU a lot with Windows. I have had success getting Mojave installed on a OVMF UEFI Q35 based virtual machine and it boots up fine without any GPU passthough. I have a Quadro 2000 (Fermi) GPU in this machine because when i started playing around with passthrough years ago, Windows VM's always had issues letting you use NVIDIA cards that were not Quadro's.

Anyway, when I try and pass through the Quadro 2000 it hangs at the verbose loading screen before i see any apple logo. Eventually it reboots itself. What would be helpful to post here to diagnose the issue?

I'm aware that Fermi based cards are not supported by Mojave, but does that mean they won't work at all? It appears i'm getting a kernel panic since it reboots.

I've tried various GPU options in Clover and been reading this forum but as yet have found no solution. I'm not sure whether to try a K2000 card instead.

Sorry that i haven't provided much information, but if anyone can let me know what is helpful i'll try and post it here. I don't mind getting a K2000 card if thats what the issue is, I just need to find out exactly what is wrong.

Many thanks,
James.
