The brightness adjustment on my Touch Bar is not working with the current beta. Any know a work around too change the brightness on my MacBook? Anything I can do other than to wait for the next beta?

you can download the brightness slider in the App Store its free until a fix is found

I use the brightness slider it works did you look under display in the system settings

yes, under display in system settings, the bar is not even there for me to adjust the brightness.

Anyways, so you confirm that you have a 2018 new MacBook Pro with the free sun brightness slider app and you can adjust ur brightness?

really gotta confirm cuz I installed Mojave and found the brightness issues, then cannot go back to Sierra and had to erase disk and download Sierra and reinstall everything all over....

Brightness slider doesn't actually dim the backlight just overlays a grey curtain essentially... it'll work on your eyes mostly, but it's not going to help your battery life any.

Thanks for clarifying, that sucks. Can't live without dark mode.

Agreed... long wait until next Tuesday. Every year I tell myself that I'm not doing the whole beta thing again and yet here I am. One day I'll learn maybe...

no I don't have a 2018 MacBook Pro well I tried to help hopefully your issue will be fixed in the next beta

Thank you guys for the discussion. look like I have to wait until the next beta to hopefully be resolved. Just have to deal with brightness at 100% all the time and a shorter battery life.

I just sent back my 2wk old new MBP and bought an even better 2018 MBP, and thought maybe I had a dodgy unit as I went straight from HS to Mojave and then tried to reduce the brightness. Glad it's not just me then. Hopefully it will be fixed with the next beta, and I'm using Dark Mode anyway so it's not so bad.
