Mojave causing screen flicker on MBP?

Just noticed today a flickering screen on my new(ish) 2017 MBP. I've got a 15", 3.1ghz i7, that i've had since February. Never noticed any screen flicker previously, but just noticed flickering and the only recent change is installing Mojave on Monday. Powered down and restarted but flickering hasn't completely gone away. it's not constant, it goes away and reappears.

anyone else noticing screen flicker?

FWIW I turned off automatic graphics switching in energy saver and that seems to have resolved it. It appears this has been an issue pre-dating mojave, but disappointed to see that it hasn't been addressed in the new OS.
