Just installed Mojave on my MBP and came away with the solid impression that the liberal use of transparency/variable opacity was lifted straight out of the Vista/7 implementation of Aero (which was liberally based on OS X Tiger...)

At this point, it seems that they changed stuff just for the sake of it so people know it’s different. Not impressed.

If you've been on any style related product industry (car, fashion, etc) you'll realize this happens all the time. Most recently, Windows copied MacOS' space management method (launchpad, mission control).

Apple started it in Cheetah. Removed it in Panther's brushed metal. Stayed removed in Leopard's platinum. Then brought it back in Yosemite.
