I have a MBP running El Capitan (highest OS it goes). I use it in my bedroom.
My main computer is an iMac, now running Mojave.
I typically connect to the iMac from the MBP using filesharing to watch videos, read comics, whatever...
Before I upgraded to Mojave, I had no issues.
Since I upgraded to Mojave, I have problems.
1) Sometimes it just doesn't connect. I've found that if I screen share to the iMac, then toggle file sharing off and on, that will fix that.
2) It'll connect, and I'll see files and I can start playing videos..but while playing, it'll disconnect..or stop streaming or something....and then if I try to reconnect, it'll pretty much crash finder on the MBP, and force quitting or whatever won't work and I'll need to reboot.
the imac has 2 drives... the main one, which is APFS and a storage which is HFS+ (and various USB HFS+ drives).
I've tried messing with the AFP/SMB sharing settings but so far, I've not found a real difference.
Any help?
