Hello... just wondering if any one knows of a working solution to installing/updating to Mojave or Catalina on a 2012 mid Mac Pro? I have 12 gig ram, 4 hard drives ( with only os on them) 3.3gig 6 core paired cpu's, its running the B00 Rom version with high sierra currently. I went a got a amd rx 5600x video card i want to use on it. I see in catalina is supporting the 5700xt, so... So far every time i have tried to either upgrade it does not see the Metal video card; and from what i read, i need the later os to support Nvme ssd, and the graphics card. But i can't install cuz of the graphic card. So it's just stupid at this point. It wan'ts better but won't load support for it. So i'm at a loss.

Thank You.

In order to use 5700 you need Catalina.
For Catalina you need to ‘hack’ your Mac with OpenCore.
cMp only supports up to Mojave officially, with a Metal Gpu.
You cannot upgrade to Mojave without a metal gpu.

Go to Mac Pro section for all your answers.
There are numerous threads discussing this.

Thank You! Being new to here, did not know where the thread was. I was sure there would be one, but didn't see it at the time. And yes, i'm trying to find a low level Radeon video card for the mac pro. But if I can get it to boot into Mac OS with the 5600xt I would be very happy. Thank you again.

Maybe start here:

but be aware there is loads of fiddling to do, under the hood.
