Greetings Mac Rumours,

Have a bit of an issue that i want to ask about before i try a format and reload. Every time a new OS comes out i do a clean install. This time around things are acting weird. I have a 2012 Macbook Pro 9,1 intel i7 2.7ghz.

My issues began when i did a clean install of Mojave and i had no issues in HiSi. When I'm watching video's every so often the audio will flat cut out. Regardless the browser or the website. I'll be on youtube watching a video and at random the video continues but the audio flat out stops functioning. It will come back randomly too. i can just scrubbing the video and it does nothing, until i do it a few times.

The audio cutting out has happened while using a VMware OS as well, but the one time during that trying to turn up the volume, it gave me the "no go sign"

My other issues are the brightness going crazy between start ups. in the sense that i disable auto brightness and keyboard illumination but each time i boot the machine up, it almost always reverts to full.

The audio issue is my biggest annoyance. However, i wanted to ask if there's anything i can try before i do a fresh OS install. The issue only began with Mojave so i figure perhaps i did something wrong with the OS install or there's a bug. I've already tried a PRAM reset.

Any help and or suggestions are greatly welcomed. This machine has been bullet proof and im hoping i can keep it this way. Thanks.
