Mojave messages app issue

Since upgrading to Mojave, I'm sometimes seeing bits of old text in the message entry field when I open the Messages app. It's like it has saved a draft of what I was previously typing but not deleted it after the Message has been sent.

Not sure whether this is a Mojave bug or an iCloud Messages bug...
