Hi,
I've a iMac12,1 (iMac 21.5-inch, Mid 2011).
Can anyone recommend a very cheap external video card suitable for installing Mojave?
Thanks....

Kepler's are older and Mojave compatible, GT/X 600's/700's-but there are few threads already explaining a Mojave upgrade and the cards that are compatible. If you have a dedicated graphics card on your logic board, stick with that vendor to avoid conflicting drivers. Welcome to the community, read what's already been discussed-I hope we all can help each other. Thanks!

Final note-exploring a logic board upgrade may be an alternative solution as well as allowing native Mojave support, but do your research to ensure it possible-2011/2012 had a few things slip through with the 15" MBP's rush to Retina Display. I'm not sure if they've made such similarities in logic board design, or in other models during that year change. The non-Retina 2011 and non-retina 2012 boards were physically identical in shape/mounting/cooling, with only a minor modification to the VGA cable to the 1400x900 display.

My graphic card is an AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB. I doubt it could be upgradable, maybe the only solution is an external video card very cheap.

Yeah, I had the 2011 MBP w/ 6770 1GB and it fried on me. I swapped it in for a 2012 GT650M 1GB. It's an entire board swap, not just GPU. Ball grid arrays (BGA's) aren't fun-wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, LOL.

I understand, just trying to offer some out-of-the-box thinking-if your experience level was there. I would only recommend it if it's a last-ditch effort to fix it, as was my case of hardware failure. A little luck and a lot of skill got me through the nerve-wracking experience-but updated it nicely.

Looks like a RX 560 should be a nice start brother-best of luck, eGPU's aren't my territory but I think I've heard of a few successes.
