Mojave System Wide AirPlay 2 Support?

Can someone who owns stereo paired AirPlay 2 speakers please confirm whether Mojave now supports it system wide?

I know that AirPlay 2 speakers show up in iTunes as an output source but do they also show up in the settings app Sound section? I would like to use 2 stereo paired Airplay 2 speakers as an output for VLC amongst other apps.

From what I can see it is not working on a system level. They are still listed as separate under 10.14.6.
