My Burn Disc radiation symbol disappeared form my sidebar (after being there when I would put in a blank disc) for the first 4 days of having Mojave... then it disappeared and won't come back after NDRAM rest, SMC rest and numerous restarts. I can burn a disc but only right click with a mouse and have to guess at the capacity for the disc that's left. It also started grouping files in my download folder to where the arrow disappeared and AppleCare told me to reset the Finder Preference for Groups under VIew. So it's done these two things on it's own (plus when I put in a blank disc, it doesn't ask to accept or eject the disc, even though it's set for that and did do that for the first 4 days).... Just wondering if anyone else has this trouble. Apple, of course, just said 'do another re-install and see what happens. Thanks

Does it stay there if you choose to customise the toolbar? I realise you are discussing the sidebar.

Just checked mine after upgrading, I had added it when using HS but it disappeared after upgrade, added it again and it seems to be working as advertised.

I can burn from the toolbar-- that is still in the drop down menu, but then then if you want to group a bunch of files, it's big problem. However, then it started telling me after selecting files and pulling down 'Burn 5 items' for example-- that the disc had zero on it 'do you still want to burn the disc?" -- I tried once and yep, it was empty!
Called Apple three times and they figure it must be a glitch in Mojave. I have reset the NDRAM the SMC and then used Disk First Aid several times, no change in the Burn Disc icon re-appearing... and all settings in Sys Pref are correct.... so hopefully they fix it in the update
