Hello, I am having issues with the Mojave OS and the M-Audio fast track ultra I have obtained. I have downloaded the drivers and still am not able to get the signal to show up in the recordings. I am trying to multitrack record and have enabled the channels I am working on. The green lights on the interface show the signal is there and I can see the signal on the M-Audio board, how do I get it to flow through to the channels on garageband?

possibly the 'microphone/security' thing, has affect a lot of people; go to system preferences>security & privacy>privacy, and make sure the microphone is checked for garageband (had to do that here to get logic to work in mojave)...

Thank you Fisherking. I did check that today too and garageband is enabled and checked. In looking at the sound settings it sees my interface but says there is no input control. It does not show a volume level for master or any of the 8 channels?

perhaps reach out to m-audio; are you sure your interface should work with mojave? & anyone else have any ideas? (i don't have garageband...)

My fast track pro stopped working when 10.12 was released. M-audio hadn't updated the drivers in several years for that model. Ended up having to get a different brand of audio interface. Not positive this is the issue for you, but it sort of sounds like it. Like the previous poster said, talk to (or just visit their web site) M-audio and see if they have updated drivers.

Thank you all. I checked out the M-audio site which sends me to the avid support page. I think you have referenced the last update available. Just looking for an alternate solution. I might try uninstalling and reinstalling. If that does not work, I might try to get an older OS for a different mac

or a newer interface? you can get a behringer (for example), pretty cheap, and the focusrite interfaces are pretty amazing..

OP:

Another forum to check is gearslutz.com -- all kinds of audio knowledge over there.

However, if M-Audio no longer supports the interface you have, might be time to start looking for a replacement...

M-Audio was sold to inMusic, and they dropped support for all their previous interfaces. Quite a crappy move.
