I bought an anniversary edition of the AMD RX 5700 XT and plugged it into my Mac Pro 5,1 which is running Opencore 6.3 and Big Sur. I have an old Wacom DTZ-2000, it's a DVI-I monitor that I use with my Sapphire 7950 card, and that works perfectly (But Slow).
So I fired up the machine with the RX 5700 XT and a DVI-I active DisplayPort adapter and Big Sur gave me a boot screen and started up. Quickly after the boot screen, it started flashing on and off. Assuming it was the Active DVI-I Adapter I thought I'd boot into Mojave to see what was going on. Much to my amazement, the RX 5700 XT booted into Mojave, which I thought it was not supposed to do?
While it only recognizes the card as 6gb and not 8gb, it shows Mojave. Without Flashing on and off.
My key issue is the flashing screen in Big Sur.
As the screen is OK with the 7950 Sapphire in Big Sur, I do not think it can be the Wacom Cintiq.
The new element is the Active Adapter and the RX 5700 XT.
Do you guys think it could be a hz frequency thing, the adapter, or the new Card?
Cheers in advance.
