So Cal
If you read any of my other posts, you'll know I'm a fool for buying a lot of cases. I swear every year I won’t, but I just can’t help myself. I have no affiliation with Moment. I have been a big fan of them for years though. They make great videos of products, not only their's. I've always loved their enthusiasm and humor. I've also found them to be honest and very helpful. They have, for example, a great video showing how to setup a folder structure for video productions. I have found this video so useful. So yeah, I am biased in a way. One thing I have to say is the purchase experience at shopmoment.com is great. They have free FedEx 2 day and they ship immediately. When I purchased the case it said purchase within the next 5 minutes to ship today. And sure enough it shipped that day. I'm lucky to live near their distribution center and got it next day.

With that out of the way, I bought and received yesterday their case with MagSafe for the 12 Pro Max. I really really like it. It will definitely be my daily driver, possibly my main case for however long I have the 12 Pro Max. The case is really light. As you can see in the pictures, it isn't the thinnest of cases, but not bulky either. The texture of the sides is sort of grippy, not slippery at all. I say sort of only because I also have a dbrand grip case and that does have more grip to it. The buttons are nice, not too stiff like say the Apple clear case. They are stiffer though then the Apple leather case. I just have used the case for less than a day, so maybe they will loosen up. Just as a point of reference, I have a MagSafe folio wallet from Geometric Goods and when I want to double click the sleep button to make an Apple Pay purchase, if I don’t hold my left hand on the other side, the iPhone slides off the magnet. When I do the same with an Apple leather case, it stays put. I have had a lot of detachable folios over the years and the same thing happens with others, like the Doc Artisan and Mous folios come to mind. The openings, like the mute button and the bottom, are generous. I think the case looks really nice and I like the wood back. In the photos you can see the nice texture of the plastic parts also. I also really like the extra holes for a lanyard or wrist strap. I immediately attached a connector for my DSPTCH wrist strap, which I actually attach to a neck lanyard for my pocket camera. I will now at times attach my iPhone to it when shooting videos or photos.

The MagSafe implementation is terrific. In saying that I am referring to the strength of the magnet. I find it exactly the same as on my Apple leather case. Some of the MagSafe cases I have are weak and for that reason I won’t use them. I don’t want to worry when I place my iPhone on my Belkin 3 in 1 or on a car mount. Moment nailed it and put good magnets in the case.

I can’t think of anything else to say about it. Here are some pics:

Hell a lot better than freaking serial number as if you’re in jail or something!
Haha, i don't know think i would prefer the no's than that rubbish written on the back lol.
Can't imagine it would pass the pinky test either.

Kinda new to this section…what is the pinky test that i keep reading about.

Do the TPU sides where the buttons are flimsy?? Do the corners peel back easily?
no, it feels really solid. it's a tight fit. i'm really liking it. especially the look of it. i don’t mind seeing the company name on the back or the other writing. i like it. when i see the bottom how you can see the blue frame of the 12 pm, its looks so nice.

I am also interested in this case. Only concerns are the walnut back texture too smooth and slippery and the side buttons are to stiff to press. I prefer the back with texture so that it offers some grip and also the buttons are easy to press. Well not necessary like Apple Leather Case clicky buttons but definitely not as tough like Nomad case. Hope you could advise. Thanks.
i wouldn’t say the moment buttons are stiff. they are fine. just not as clicky as an apple case. but in no way are they stiff.

Thanks for the review. I also ordered a moment magsafe case (the blue thin case) in part because it is hard to find a good case that supports a lanyard attachment. But I also ordered their "wall mount" which is backordered, and that is a pretty unique magsafe mount that can be screwed into place. I plan to mount that on my kayak actually and so have a magsafe mount for the phone there. It is good to know the magsafe on the case is pretty solid.

Can you see the frame at all while the case is on? I bought one of these for the 12 mini and I could see the metal with the case on near the volume buttons.

no, i don’t see any gap at all.

one thing i didn’t mention because i actually didn’t realize it, but with more use i noticed the bottom of the case is flush with the glass of the iphone so when you swipe up it is smooth.

How do you like the Geometric Goods folio? It seems to be the only one I've come across that I can just slap onto my phone easily, but is it worth the price?

I like it, although I just bought a bi fold folio on etsy and placed a MagSafe sticker in it to hold my 12 pro max in the moment case. The quality of the Geometric folio is great. It is all leather. I think most "leather" folios are cardboard with a thin leather covering. Geometric uses a thick leather. I don’t like cards touching the screen of my iPhone. So I usually put them inside the pocket. 3 cards and some cash. But every time I open the folio my cards were slipping out of the pocket and it got annoying. I just got a bi fold design where the cards are in a separate space. The leather is not as nice and the folio is a bit thicker but it works better for me. But using the MagSafe sticker is perfect The hold is strong.

Here's the folio I just got

Here's the MagSafe sticker
