Momentus XT as a boot drive, issues?

Since my 6g momentus XT won't work in my macbook pro's optical bay (@#$) i am going to pop it in a friends mbp 13 as a main boot drive. But i've heard they are not good as a boot drive and may cause issues. Anyone experience this?
