Would you still buy a Dell/ViewSonic/Korean/etc monitor over the apple display if money wasn't a parameter? Thanks for any input gentlemen/ladies.

I bought a used ACD off Craigslist for a good price. After using it I would not want any other monitor I've ever used. The Apple is so much better looking.

I sold my ACD for a dell u3011 for one reason, the dell has HDMI so I can have my Mac and my xbox hooked to the same screen.

Depends on what you use it for.

Apple display or perhaps one with a ~$1500 + price tag. Anything less is, well, you do get what you pay for in terms of display quality, performance, reliability. I hear there are some nice BenQ displays in the $5000 range. My $5000 60 inch pioneer plasma makes a very good display, especially for videos.

If money were no object, I'd have dual TBDs in a heartbeat. Until then my old pair if Dell UltraSharps will do.

If money is no objective, an Eizo DuraVision FDH3601 would be divine.

If reason is however an objective, the Dell UltraSharp U3014 costs the same as a TBD.

If reason is even more an objective, I'd hold off and wait a couple of months for 4K displays to pop up. Seiki's SE39UY04 scaled down to 30, 32 or 36" with a more uniform brightness and a DisplayPort would be nice and seems within reach (aka ASUS PQ321Q/Sharp PN-K321H).

If money was no object I would hire the entirety of NEC to build a 4K 30" Thunderbolt display.
If not then maybe a Thunderbolt docking station with dual NEC/Eizo displays.
