I'm interested in purchasing this monitor from Philips: http://www.consumer.philips.com/con...&proxybuster=G1UKXX3DGYWWJJ0RMRCSHQNHKFSESI5P

I hope the link works.

Anyway, it doesn't list OSX as a compatible OS for its plug and play feature. Does this matter, its just a monitor, it supports win98 and that is 6 years old now so it shouldn't matter much? There is nothing in the specs which would suggest it is going to give me grief, what do you guys think?

I would imagine it would work. I haven't seen OSX NOT work on any monitor. My 2 cents: I'm not overly fond of 19" monitors. I don't think the images are the sharpest on them, really..

For its price and it is in widescreen I'm quite enthusiastic about it. It is also a new model so it might not suffer from the same problems like the others you have had a bad experience with.
